Pocajang Advanced Guide
Since this is the Kudo style, I'll be explaining it like Mahjong from now on, so please bear with me. 1. When you look at the river (cards played), you might think players are generally playing cards they can't use for Pocajang. However, Kudo and other players use a tactic where they can Pocajang, but they'll discard cards of a different color in a 2-card set to lure out cards of the same color. This way, players might think, "Oh, that card is safe to play!" and play a card of the same color, allowing you to win with a 3-card Pocajang of the same color. Even with a 5-card set, if you have 4 cards of the same color and there isn't anyone who seems close to going out (with 30 or fewer cards in the draw pile, or 300 or fewer coins), I sometimes don't give up on winning with Pocajang. 2. If your opponent is clearly aiming for a specific color, try to avoid conflicting with them. I discovered this after playing over 100 times: players who discard a certain number of cards of the same group in the river are definitely collecting the other members of that group. By checking the cards not yet played, you can see which card they want. If you draw that card or have it in your hand, don't play it into the river. Be careful, as you might go out if it's a single color. By keeping these two points in mind while playing, you can at least secure a 2nd place finish.

I was surprised by how serious Poka-chan's explanation was! It looks strategic and fun, maybe I'll try that tactic next time too âª
