Dealing with Annoying Ads

(Playio is like this too) Point-earning apps are tightly linked to ads, so you have to watch annoying ones, right? There are many types of ads I don't want to even glance at, so I've thought of various countermeasures like apps that bring up screen blockers, but I've ultimately settled on a super low-tech method: covering just the top part of my propped-up phone with a thick piece of paper where the close button appears. By the way, my top 3 hated ads are Doomsday, TiktokLite, and Temu. They all send nasty videos (like sudden slapping, social disparity, overt anger, etc.) originating from a certain country, with sloppy localization and translation.
