It depends on the characters you have against ancient species. If you don't have good characters, I think you'll just have to rush it.

Let's use Okame with the ATK down combo. Make its ATK 1% and then beat it up with Mute or Rasvo. (Note: Okame's combo is for increased XP gain, not ATK down.)
