It's okay if you think of it as an idle game and plan to play for a long time. Recommended if you like sandbox-style games, but not recommended if you can't stand boredom. You can have your followers build houses, gain faith from those houses over time, and use that faith to destroy or create land, and build settlements (combining multiple houses to create farmers, miners, etc.). However, faith acquisition is too slow. It's best to leave it completely idle.
