The Ajaeng (牙箏) is a traditional Korean bowed string instrument played by rubbing several thick strings with a bow. It is characterized by its low, heavy, and rough sound.

I bet a lot of you didn't know about this! The star of today's topic is the teeth of the limpet, a small type of shellfish that lives attached to sea rocks! Limpets need to scrape rough rocks to eat the microalgae attached to them, and the strength of the teeth they use for this is incredible 🫨 According to scientific measurements, the tensile strength of limpet teeth reaches up to 6.5 GPa!! That probably doesn't make much sense to you, does it? 😅 Simply put, 6.5 GPa is about 5 times stronger than the highest grade special steel used for constructing skyscrapers or bridges, and even stronger than the Kevlar fiber used in bulletproof vests 😱😱 The reason limpet teeth are so hard is because extremely fine iron mineral fibers are densely intertwined within their protein structure 😆 I never imagined there would be a creature in this world stronger and harder than steel 🫨

The Haegeum (奚琴) is a traditional Korean string instrument played with a bow, featuring two strings. It can produce sorrowful and delicate sounds, much like the human voice, making it a very important instrument in Korean traditional music (Gukak).

Humans can distinguish water temperature just by listening to the sound, not just by touch! If you listen closely to the sound of pouring warm and cold water into a cup or mug, you'll notice subtle differences🫨 This is because warm water has lower viscosity than cold water, causing the water molecules to move more actively😆 Cold or lukewarm water: Higher viscosity, resulting in a clear, high-pitched, and crisp sound when poured. Hot water: Lower viscosity, causing bubbles to break smaller and more foam to form, producing a lower, deeper, and softer sound. In fact, if you play only the sounds for people and ask them to guess "Which one is the hot water?", even ordinary people without special training can guess correctly with over 85% accuracy👍👍 Without even realizing it, we've spent our lives listening to the sound of pouring water and have accumulated the ability to judge water temperature by sound in our brains😁

The sogeum (小笒) is the smallest transverse flute among the traditional Korean wind instruments daegeum, junggeum, and sogeum. It is characterized by its clear and pure tone, and it plays beautiful melodies in both traditional Korean ensemble and solo performances. Here, 'sogeum' refers to the traditional instrument, not the salt (鹽) used in food.

Your body's water is completely replaced with new water about 1-2 times a month! It's well-known that about 60% of our body is made up of water, but many people don't realize that this water is constantly being replaced with new water 🤔🤔 Just like the Earth's water cycles through rain, oceans, and evaporation, the water in our bodies is also replaced daily with about 2.5 liters from drinking water, food, sweat, urine, and respiration 👍 If you do the math, it takes about 2-3 weeks for all the water in your body to be completely replaced once. This means that over a lifetime of 70+ years, the water that filled your body has been renewed with fresh water over 1,000 times 🫨 In essence, you are physically made of completely different water now compared to 3 weeks ago 😆 Isn't that amazing?? hahaha

A new AI feature exclusively for boards has been added to the Flo community. We're thinking of bringing in an AI for our board, so please share your opinions. -Result- In favor - The humanoid character was selected with 15 votes.
