Reached Ascension 8
Ascension 8 is something else... The difficulty is definitely different from 7... Up to 7 is super easy. For 8... if you don't prepare thoroughly, you'll get a game over before you even reach the boss. I was nervous because the boss was way stronger than I expected. But I ascended, right? Ascension-

Reached Ascension 7
Hey boss, hit me harder. Do you think that even scratched me? Tomorrow I'll challenge the final Ascension 8, and then go unlock new characters. Ascension 8 is a deathmatch where you only have one life and it's game over if you die once, but you can start with two lives if you upgrade. Starting with two lives drastically lowers the difficulty~ Ah~~ Is this Mahjong, Mahjong? If I play this, playing Jan-ken will feel like a letdown... ㅠㅠ

Reached Ascension 6
Ah, so easy, so easy. Boss, what can you even do! You're the weakest among all the bosses. Just brute force won't win. Waiting for 13 pairs in Kokushi Musou feels more challenging... So there was a boss, but now there isn't. Another rewarding day of Heavenly Mahjong.

Reached Ascension 5
That was a good match. But you weren't my opponent. 13-wait Kokushi Musou, isn't that too OP? But you weren't my opponent. Goodbye. Next is Ascension 6, 7, 8. At this rate, I might hit Ascension 8 soon and unlock all characters. It was another great game of Mahjong today.

Let's Learn Mahjong - Part 5
For beginners, I personally recommend not calling 'chi', 'pon', or 'kan' (i.e., not melding) and maintaining a closed hand (menzen) with ready calls (riichi). Once you meld, you not only reduce the number of possible scoring hands (yaku), but you also can't see the dora in the dead wall if you win. Kans, in particular, have a limit. If there are 4 kans in a single game, the hand becomes void. Sometimes, people who don't know this will unnecessarily call kan while winning, making the hand void. If one person calls 4 kans, they can form the hand 'sukkangz' (a yakuman, or highest scoring hand). The probability of forming this hand is a whopping 0.000024%. It's an incredibly high probability, so you could bet your life on it. However, it's something most people never achieve even after a lifetime, so it's best to avoid calling kan unless absolutely necessary. For reference, there's also a 1-han hand called 'chankan'. This occurs when someone has already called 'pon' (making a set of 3 identical tiles from another player's discard), and then another player discards a tile that allows the first player to change their 'pon' into a 'kan' (called 'gakan'), and that discarded tile is your winning tile (the tile you need to complete your hand when you're in tenpai). The probability is 0.046%.

Let's Learn Mahjong - Part 4
It would be ideal to win with only the tiles you draw yourself, but Mahjong is a game of luck, so it's rare to easily draw the tiles you want. That's why there's 'Chi', 'Pon', and 'Kan' to take tiles from your opponents. In these cases, it's referred to as 'calling' a tile. For 'Chi', if you have two consecutive numbered tiles, and the player to your left (the one who just played) discards a tile that completes the sequence, (e.g., you have a 3 and 4 of bamboo, and the previous player discards a 2 or a 5 of bamboo), you can 'Chi' to take it. 'Chi' can only be done with a tile discarded by the player immediately to your left. For 'Pon', if you have two identical tiles, you can 'Pon' and take it if anyone discards the third matching tile. This applies to both numbered tiles and honor tiles. For 'Kan', if you have three identical tiles, you can 'Kan' and take it if anyone discards the fourth matching tile. 'Kan' is broadly divided into 'Ankan', where you complete the set of four yourself, and 'Minkan', where you take a tile discarded by another player.

Let's Learn Mahjong 3
Dora tiles are a bonus you receive when you complete a hand yourself. Dora tiles are the only ones revealed during Mahjong. For numbered tiles, the next number in the suit is the dora. For honor tiles, the next tile in the sequence (East, South, West, North, White, Green, Red) becomes the dora. If a 1-man is revealed, the dora is a 2-man. If a 9-pin is revealed, the dora is a 1-pin. For honor tiles: If East is revealed, South is the dora. If South is revealed, West is the dora. If West is revealed, North is the dora. If North is revealed, East is the dora. This is why the East-South-West-North sequence is important. For White, Green, Red: If White is revealed, Green is the dora. If Green is revealed, Red is the dora. If Red is revealed, White is the dora. Remember this sequence too. Basically, if you don't call 'pon' or 'chi' (taking an opponent's tile) and win with your own hand (fully concealed hand, Riichi), you can get bonus points from both the revealed dora and any subsequent doras. This increases your chances of getting a bonus with two doras, so try not to call 'pon' or 'chi' during a match. This is especially true for beginners. If you declare a 'kan' (open or closed quad), the dora tiles increase. Therefore, only declare a 'kan' if you are confident.

Let's Learn Mahjong 2
Mahjong uses suit tiles and honor tiles (wind tiles and character tiles). Suit tiles include Man tiles (with Chinese characters from 1-9), Pin tiles (with circles from 1-9), and Sou tiles (with bamboo from 1-9). Honor tiles include wind tiles (East, South, West, North - *note: not in the order of East, West, South, North*), and the dragon tiles (White, Green, Red). Mahjong is basically a game where you need to complete a hand with 2 identical tiles (a pair), and 4 sets of 3 tiles (three of a kind or a sequence). That's right. You can play with just this knowledge. A pair (toitsu) consists of two identical tiles, and can be formed with either suit or honor tiles. A set (melds) can be three identical tiles (koutsu) or three consecutive numbered tiles of the same suit (shuntsu). Koutsu can be formed with both suit and honor tiles, but shuntsu can only be formed with suit tiles. Since suit tiles are versatile in many ways, beginners can discard honor tiles and focus on collecting suit tiles. This way, you can easily aim for Tenpai (a state where only one tile is needed to complete your hand). So, if you're a beginner, try collecting suit tiles diligently.

Let's Learn Mahjong 1
If you want to learn easily through video, you can watch this person's videos. I will explain how to play Mahjong easily through text. Some people say Mahjong is difficult. To be honest, unless you're playing offline, do you organize the mahjong tiles yourself? Do you calculate the score yourself? Do you calculate the yaku yourself? When it shows you what tiles you can use to win, how can you not know? When the timing for Chi, Pon, and Kan pops up automatically, how can you miss it? In offline Mahjong, you do all of that yourself. If you still say Mahjong is difficult even when playing online, it's basically because you have no will to learn. Online Mahjong is not difficult at all. I will now explain it easily through text.

Ascension 3 & 4 Climb Completed
There's Ascension 8, I wonder how far I can easily climb. Personally, climbing up to 4 is pretty smooth. Ah... I really want to try for National Grand Slam this time... Turns out, National Grand Slam isn't that appealing of a move here... Too bad, too bad...
