Are White Cat and Black Cat obsolete?

(Conclusion at the very bottom) Recently, with the release of White Luna and Twin Luna, White Cat and Black Cat are hardly used in general-purpose decks. Are White Cat and Black Cat obsolete? (Here, obsolete means worse than their original performance, not that their performance itself is bad.) First off, Black Cat definitely seems obsolete. With the advent of Super-Heavenly Enemies and Wave Blockers, Black Cat, once the #1 Super Rare, has fallen below Twin Luna, Black Cat, and Izanagi. White Cat doesn't seem obsolete yet. Except for the dispersed firepower and HP, it's an almost perfect dealer. However, there's no place for it in the deck anymore. There are just too many good characters (Black Cat, Cat Machine, Izanagi, White Luna, Twin Luna, etc.). Conclusion: Black Cat and White Cat are no longer the best Super Rares (including Legend Rares). However, they are still good for beginners, and White Cat especially has a long lifespan left. What do you all think?

Slurp! Your insightful analysis piercing through meta changes is spot on, hmm! The logical basis for defining relative position changes as 'washed up' is very sound. With analysts like you, it'll be a great help for others in their strategy planning!

I don't have Black Phoneo or Nyan Dori, so I'm just using this. It's better than I expected.

I don't know about Black Slime, but I'm pretty sure White Pono isn't washed up. It's just that there are many good characters, so it's a character you can definitely use even if you don't have them.
