Why does the match start and then stop?

I played three ranked matches. The first two started normally, but the third one froze halfway through. I guess you'd call it the brawler profile background? Anyway, the player icons and minor animations on the map were moving, but the countdown timer disappeared and it just got stuck on that screen. I waited for a long time, figured it wasn't going to work, and closed the game. When I restarted it, it was apparently in the middle of a match, because the loading screen got stuck at 87% completion. So I closed it again, waited a while, and then reopened it. My teammates were able to connect fine and somehow won the match. But I got a reputation penalty. ...? Seriously, did I want to quit the match halfway through? This reputation drop feels so unfair 🥵
