Difficulty spikes at Hell difficulty, losing motivation...

I could handle up to 'Hard' difficulty, but it spiked significantly starting from 'Hell', so I quit. Still, it felt like a waste of the progress I'd made, so I tried playing again, but I still can't break through.. My motivation has plummeted, and I'm considering quitting again... lol...
