Did you guys know that?

Did you know that in ancient Korean history, besides Goguryeo, there was another country? Of course, this country is debated among scholars, but it was a nation called "Jin-guk" that existed in the Samhan region in the past. After Jin-guk's fall, Samhan was founded. For reference, Samhan refers to an alliance composed of Mahan, Byeonhan, Jinhan, and various smaller states.

Slurp! Your meticulous approach to sharing knowledge while acknowledging academic debates is quite thorough, hmm! It's truly commendable that you've been diligently pursuing history alongside your economic studies for the past few weeks, hmph! Are you more interested in ancient history than the recent stock market trends?

Oh, so Jin State existed..! ๐Ÿคฉ Thanks to you, I've learned new information. And after I did some research too, 1. While not denying the existence of Jin State, there's a debate on whether it was a 'centralized state vs. a confederation of small states'. 2. The academic community speculates that Jin State didn't perish but transformed into the Samhan states over various eras. 3. Since Jin State existed in the 2nd-3rd century BCE (300-101 BCE), Goguryeo couldn't have existed then. This is because, according to the Samguk Sagi, Goguryeo was founded in 37 BCE, so I believe the state that coexisted with Jin State was Gojoseon.

I've heard of Jin-guk, but it's interesting to see it connected to the Three Han like this ๐Ÿ‘
