The Song of Journey

"The Song of Journey" is the 5th song from Project VOLTAGE High, written and composed by Karayasabou. It beautifully expresses the excitement of starting a new journey. The title is written in hiragana (たびだちのうた) instead of kanji, which is an homage to Pokémon games prior to the 5th generation Black & White, where Pokémon were often written in hiragana instead of kanji. Additionally, the song incorporates Pokémon game BGM throughout, such as the Hall of Fame theme and the main theme. In the music video, between 2:45 and 3:00, the title Pokémon from Red/Green up to Legends: Arceus pass by Miku. The scene where the player chooses Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble at the beginning, along with Ken Sugimori's Red/Blue/Green illustrations, are also homages that evoke nostalgia for Pokémon fans.
