The Unofficial Empress

I started playing 'The Unofficial Empress' because the title was so unique and piqued my curiosity. I found myself hooked because, surprisingly, there's a fun element of developing characters while following the story. At first, I thought it was just another typical court drama game, but the way the story unfolds as the protagonist becomes empress and navigates various situations made me want to keep playing to see what happens next. I especially enjoyed the story because there were many interactions and dialogues between characters. It was also quite interesting how the situations changed based on choices made or progress in the game. The character illustrations are pretty, so it was a treat to see each new character that appeared. It felt less like just playing a game and more like progressing through a story, reading it chapter by chapter, which made it easy to pick up and play. I initially started out of curiosity due to the title, but it turned out to be a game where I got so invested in the story itself that I became eager for the next episode. If you like character-driven story games, it feels like it's worth trying at least once!
