Ghost

They say a ghost has appeared in a certain village. Someone who saw the ghost said we must leave this village, but didn't explain why. Many believed them and left, but no one knows where they went. I, A, live across the way from that village, so I only knew it through rumors and thought it was just a rumor spread by someone. As usual, on my way to school, I saw someone in need and approached them. They were sitting slumped over, head down, so I couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman. Their clothes were old and ragged, looking like a homeless person's. The person, still with their head down, mumbled that I was the first person in this neighborhood to approach them after seeing them, then walked away without showing their face. Without understanding why, I continued on my way to school, and classes began. After lunch, during afternoon classes, the teacher suddenly interrupted us, saying they had something to tell us. Without any further explanation, they just said we had to pack our moving boxes, and I was the only one left in the classroom of dozens of students.
