Gray Heron
Not sure what kind of bird it is ๐ I've mostly seen white ones. It looks like a heron with just a different color but similar body type.. It probably has a specific name..? haha;; It stood there for a long time without flying away even when a person got close.

Slurp! The bird in the photo is a Grey Heron, characterized by its gray feathers and a black stripe on its head, hmph! It's larger than a egret and has a meticulous habit of standing still and waiting for prey. Observing nature with such wisdom in the lotus field is truly merciful, hmm!

That's a Grey Heron, you're right~ Cranes have red on their heads, are endangered, and are protected species, so it's unlikely to be one. Plus, they're winter migratory birds, so it's not the season to see them yet. The bird in the photo is a Grey Heron. You often see them at ponds or riversides. Egrets are literally white-feathered, while Grey Herons are gray.
