A Real Complaint
For reference, speaking of this mother-in-law, when I was raising my first child, she would tell my child that I was their stepmother whenever I went to work. She did this with her friend. Because the children were spoiled by their grandparents, I raised them a bit strictly to prevent them from being called ill-mannered. But does this make any sense? My daughter suspected I was her stepmother until high school.
