But usually, if there's money left over like that, shouldn't we split it 50/50? But this person said they want to buy a house. I told them it would be better to rent a place to get all the government subsidies, and they said okay. But then they went to a real estate agent and said they need a 3-bedroom place because they can't live in a small house. It's truly maddening.

OMG, what are you going to do... You've got family issues stressing you out, and now your husband is being stubborn too, it's driving me crazy. He just went to the hospital earlier because he wasn't feeling well, and I'm so worried he'll get even more stressed. I really hope he doesn't push himself too hard and can take care of his mental health first.
