Pentatonix's The Sound of Silence ๐
Got a question for you. In the male trio 'SG Wannabe', what does 'Wannabe' mean, and what does 'SG' stand for? It stands for Simon & Garfunkel, SG. So, 'SG Wannabe' means 'We want to be like Simon & Garfunkel'. Today's song, 'The Sound of Silence', was released in 1964 by the American pop duo Simon & Garfunkel and was a chart-topping hit. Reportedly, Paul Simon started writing the song in a bathroom with the lights off to improve his concentration. This song was composed in the dark, listening to the sound of running water from the faucet in a pitch-black bathroom. Translated, it means 'The Sound of Silence'. The song's meaning is said to represent the contradictions of modern society, where despite an abundance of words and noise, there's a lack of genuine connection or communication. So, instead of playing the original song, which is over 60 years old, I'll introduce you to my favorite version by Pentatonix, which is superior in sound and video quality.

Oh, I just learned what SG means today. Then why would you raise cows instead of forks? I enjoyed the song and I'm leaving.

SuGarwannabe I want to be sugar. A sweet life. Why did you do that to me? You've insulted me. Simon & Garfunkel's 'Mrs. Robinson' has the lyric 'Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?', which refers to the strife Joe DiMaggio, Marilyn Monroe's husband, had. ^^

I'm an SG Wannabe fan, so I know what it means. This song is a cover by Pentatonix, an a cappella version of a song released in '64. It just becomes a masterpiece. The voices of the five members are truly fantastic. My ears are blessed. Thank you for the great song.

It's not easy to sing in harmony with multiple people, but you sang it so beautifully that it was a treat for my ears. The song is great too, and it's good in every way!

Listening to it made me curious about the original song. It felt like five masters were using their ultimate skills to determine the supreme one.^-^ I really enjoyed the song, like a roar echoing in a wilderness where individual sounds gather to become the voices of five. It's so refreshing.^-^
