Listening to Lee Seung Hoon's 'Rainy Street,' I remembered thinking, 'I bought the CD for this song and found out who the composer was, but who was it again?' So I looked it up, and it was 'Rainy Street' - written and composed by Kim Shin Woo. Kim Shin Woo's song 'Remember Me' came to mind, so I'm posting it. The song is still good even when listened to now! I think this is Korean-style R&B. Around the time this song was released, Solid had just debuted, and Western R&B was also widely heard. But for those who felt it was a bit too much? I think this level of song, which isn't too quiet like a ballad but also not too 'whoa-whoa-' like traditional R&B, was just right. It was quite popular back then, so it's surprising that it doesn't seem to have much popularity on YouTube now. What's interesting is that, as mentioned above, Kim Shin Woo also wrote and composed 'Rainy Street.' His later hits like 'Marie' and 'Gui Garae Sa' were also self-written and composed. However, this song is only credited as a co-composition. I suspect he might have received help from fellow musicians because this rhythm style probably wasn't his main specialty.
