[Chat] What's the appeal of Animal Crossing..?

Lately, I've been debating whether or not to get rid of my old Switch... I've been playing Animal Crossing, which was sitting on my title display shelf, for a bit before bed. It's my sibling's, so I won't sell it... but I initially thought, 'What's so fun about this?' and only played a little bit in the beginning before abandoning it... But recently, playing it again... it's surprisingly fun? Has my personality changed?? I wasn't really one to enjoy healing/grind games, but when I logged in after a long time, seeing the animals saying things like 'Haven't you seen me before? Let me know if you have...' was actually kind of funny... Unable to escape the debt collection from the villainous Mr. Nook, I'm digging, picking up and selling fruit, chopping and selling wood... Even though it's physical labor, it's strangely enjoyable... I think it's a game that has encounters placed well in opportune moments... Maybe that's why it's been consistently loved... I wonder how long it'll take to get to the decorating elements... I need to let go and send the Switch away... but should I keep it as a 'Dōson' machine...? Games without an ending are always tough...
