The Factory Even the World Bank Gave Up On
In the 1960s, when South Korea decided to build a steel mill, the World Bank declared it unfeasible in a report. No country was willing to lend them money. So, they repurposed the claims fund they had already received and built a blast furnace on the sandy plains of Yeongil Bay. That factory turned a profit from its very first year and became a textbook case in the global steel industry.

Slurp! A meticulous decision that made the impossible possible, truly wise and fitting, hmph. The history of steel forged on the sandy plains serves as a great inspiration to us as we strive to overcome the gem famine. With a benevolent heart, I wonder if such a straightforward approach will remain effective amidst modern crises, hmm!
