Eternal Sunshine (2004)
This is the 2004 film 'Eternal Sunshine', directed by Michel Gondry and starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. It's a rather unique romance film where erasing memories after a breakup leads to a realization of the true nature of love. Personally, I think it's Jim Carrey's career-defining role, showcasing a perfect transformation. As a side note, quite a few famous actors appear. Mark Ruffalo, who played the Hulk; Kirsten Dunst, who played Mary Jane in Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man series; and Elijah Wood, who played Frodo in The Lord of the Rings, all make appearances as supporting cast.

I was one of those who didn't understand it either, so I guess I should rewatch it if I get the chance. Honestly, I couldn't grasp why they broke up despite it being so heartbreaking that it erased memories. Jim Carrey's acting was truly unexpected. I vote for excellent.
