Fabloo (Joe Hawley)

Last time, we introduced Lemon Demon. This time, it's Joe Hawley. He was a former member of Tally Hall and continues to release music even after the band disbanded. Given the nature of the band he was in, his music often takes the form of Fabloo, characterized by frequent wordplay, abstract expressions, and sheer 난해함 (difficulty/complexity). Examples include the Mario theme at the end of a song, reversed audio, or a title like "Your Mom Basketball" (yes, that's a real one). It can be challenging to get into, but I'll leave links in the comments anyway. My personal recommendation is... "Rotary Park". This song is based on the musician's own experience of being robbed(?!) while filming a video in a park. It's a very heavy topic, but paradoxically, it showcases the overall vibe well while having relatively mellow melodies (though the lyrics are intense). This concludes the 3-part Fabloo introduction. We'll be back with "Boundary Valley" as the next topic.
