Kim Young-rang's "Wearing Poison" It has been a long time since poison filled my chest. A new poison that has yet to harm anyone. My friend tells me to scatter that fearsome poison. I threaten, saying that poison might harm my friend too. Even if I live without poison, if you and I soon pass away, Innumerable generations will quietly flow by, And later, the earth will crumble into grains of sand. "It's all vanity!" they say, "Why wear poison?" Ah! Was there ever a day I lived without regretting my birth into this world? "It's all vanity!" But The wolves and jackals attacking from front and back are now targeting my heart. I am left to become the prey of beasts, to be torn and clawed alive. I will go forth, wearing my poison. To save my lonely soul on the last day. This work is particularly well-suited for 'adversity' as its theme is the will for a pure life and the confrontation with reality.
