Tourist Spot Brazil Rio de Janeiro Selaron Steps... Beyond Lies a Criminal Gang's Lair..

Brazil... when you think of cities, Rio de Janeiro definitely comes to mind.. As a tourist city, it was a place with so much to see... like the Christ the Redeemer statue, that Copacabana beach thingy... anyway, many places... Among them, I went to the Selaron Steps, which were apparently created by artists from all over the world... or so I assume...? It's a tourist attraction. I was overwhelmed by the design of the colorful stairs and walls, and also by the crowds... Never underestimate Brazilian tourist spots... they are ridiculously crowded.. I climbed up each step and looked around from the top, and saw a white building about 500m away... I was curious and wanted to go, but... had to retreat due to time constraints.. When I returned to Sao Paulo and told my Colombian friend who was letting me stay, he freaked out and showed me an internet search... He told me that the buildings beyond those steps are criminal organization buildings and I should absolutely never go there... Oh, the youth who tried to go to heaven on their own feet..
