I realized why they separated the Zelda Direct after watching yesterday's Nintendo Direct.
It seems they allocated a separate Direct so that the news about various new games wouldn't be overshadowed by Zelda: Skyward Sword. However, it was a bit disappointing that the impact of the new games announced in the Nintendo Direct (Professor Layton, Metroid, Kirby, etc.) wasn't as big as I expected... but I guess they planned the separate event with that in mind, right?

They probably separated it because of Zelda's weight, right? Still, I totally get feeling disappointed because the impact of the new game wasn't as much as expected. Which game disappointed you the most?
Since Zelda is such a huge IP, it probably needs to stand out more than other things, right?

Zelda's 40th anniversary must have made it more meaningful, so they probably had performances and stuff. Nintendo really knows how to manage its IPs...

Honestly, besides Zelda, there wasn't anything that really blew me away!! Maybe Metroid, Kirby, and Paper Mario 64...?

I haven't played Zelda, so I haven't even seen it. Was it that bad?? I just wished for many new games to be released. Please... 🙏

It wasn't as impactful as I thought, but it was surprisingly quite substantial. Honestly, it was also two Directs in a row, and before the afterglow could even fade, the 'Shi' was too strong. Most importantly, the absence of Mario in this Nintendo Direct is a bummer….
