One Person, 20 Personas. The Lapfox Trax Edition
Occasionally, you'll find musicians who use more than one name for their work. Usually, it's around two or three, and at most, a single-digit number of aliases. But what if someone had over 20 names, and to top it off, even ran a virtual artist group? Today, we're diving into Dave Remler and his group, Lapfox Trax. Dave Remler created distinct characters and personalities for each music genre, and then gathered them to form an artist group. With over 20 such characters, his reach is so vast that you're bound to find a track no matter which electronic genre you pick. He's known for his open approach, releasing music for free or allowing piracy. He also identifies as a woman and adopted a female name (originally male), showcasing a unique path. However, separate from his music, his reputation isn't great. He's been involved in two significant sexual scandals.

AuthorSome of you might be wondering, "Why even talk about this person?" The reason is simple: their musical spectrum is so vast that you've likely heard their work without even realizing it. Famous examples include tracks that gained popularity through memes, remixes, or rhythm games like 'rainbow tylenol,' 'rubber band,' and 'The big black.' These are all credited under pseudonyms (Kitsune^2, Jackal Queenston, and The Quick Brown Fox, respectively), so many people are unaware of the original artist's harmful actions. Therefore, the stance is, "Regardless of the music's quality or the composer's talent, if you listen to their songs, you should at least know what this person has done." As a side note, the sexual scandals involving this artist both stem from allegations of abuse against two ex-girlfriends. One case was revealed to be due to mental illness, and a mutual agreement was reached. However, the other case concluded with the victim severing ties, leaving it unresolved to this day.
