I'll Protect My Love 4. Tasha Ni - Warning

A song about fighting for love. Tasha Ni's 'Warning'. It's a female duo that Yoon Mirae was briefly part of. The group didn't become very popular, but the song became subtly known as many female singers covered it live. The lyrics are truly great. Songs with this kind of theme often become awkward as times change, but this song's situation is likely one that will still be considered 'Yep, I get it' decades from now. If you were to rephrase the content into a conversation, it would be something like: "Hey, you dumped A, right? You broke up with them so coldly, and then started dating me. What's the problem? Why are you suddenly trying to get back together now, or saying you didn't know I was with them? I'm seriously warning you. Don't contact A ever again." It's not about stealing someone or a rebound breakup. It's about the other person having issues with their relationship style, and actively dealing with it to protect their own love. This truly seems like a textbook example of how to handle a relationship. However, the rap lyrics mention "Bonnie and Clyde". I'll leave the meaning in the comments as it's good to know.

Bonnie & Clyde were a criminal couple who operated in the United States. They became quite famous and are often used as a metaphor for forbidden love or love that the world doesn't recognize. They were even mentioned in Le Sserafim's 'Hot' last year. However! They weren't vigilantes; they were simply criminals. They are undeniably a criminal couple, with no room for sympathy or claims of having good intentions. I can understand it to some extent in 'Warning,' where it says, "Those who don't know our love well might misunderstand it as stealing a friend's boyfriend," but In 'Hot,' it feels like a major issue because it seems to compare it to finding one's true self. Bonnie and Clyde are just criminals who should not be glorified.

Tasha's Warning is fun to sing at karaoke! Of course, I'm not Yoon Mirae, so my rap is terrible, but it's fun, so that's all that matters!! Thinking about Uptown too, it feels like Yoon Mirae became famous in a surprisingly small way compared to her talent, which is a bit of a shame.

Tashannie also has many good songs. 'Gyeonggo' is suddenly trending again these days, so I hear it often and it's exciting and good.
