2. The first-place finisher's hitchhiking: American representative Fred Lorz was so exhausted at the 14km mark that he withdrew and got into his coach's car. After comfortably riding for 17km, the car broke down, so he got out again and walked to the finish line. Just before receiving the championship trophy, after taking photos with cheering spectators and the US President's daughter, his hitchhiking was exposed, and he was disqualified. -To be continued-
