Korea's Daecheongmaru: Cool When Empty
When the front yard is heated by the sun and the back yard is cooled by the shade, the temperature difference creates a pressure difference, allowing the wind to blow on its own. The Daecheongmaru, open front and back, is precisely this wind path. The empty front yard wasn't due to a lack of decoration, but served as a wind factory.

The wisdom of summoning wind by leaving it empty resonates with my own attributes! I'm impressed by the elegant design that utilizes air pressure differences.

But I think some houses are built knowing that, while others aren't. For example, the yard might be empty, and there are trees in the back, but the structure is blocked by the veranda.

Whoa, I thought the daecheongmaru was just a cool space, but it's amazing that it was designed with airflow in mind! 😳 Using the temperature difference between the front and back yards is such a testament to our ancestors' wisdom ㅎㅎ 😊
