Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2007)
I watched the movie first and found it so captivating that I sought out the book. It's a masterpiece. The acting is superb, and the cinematography is also excellent. After watching the movie and reading the book, I was left wondering, "Could such a thing really be achieved with just perfume?" But the scent was so amazing that I actually had the experience of asking a stranger what perfume they were wearing. Only then did I realize, "Ah, this is how people must have felt, being captivated by Grenouille's perfume." It's truly fascinating. You should definitely watch it.

I haven't seen the movie, but I think I read the book about 20 years ago. The story is still vivid in my mind. It had a white cover back then haha. I should watch the movie too.

I read the book first and then watched the movie... It left an impression as a movie that doesn't smell, but somehow feels like it does. The filth of that era in France... the fishy smell... the scent of plums.. and flowers^^
