Dragon Raja - Lee Yeongdo

Fools look ahead but think behind. Commoners look ahead but think behind. The wise look ahead but think behind. A fool is someone who clings to past mistakes, regretting them so much that they can't see the reality before them (the present) and end up stepping into the mud again. A commoner doesn't cling to the past like a fool; they use past mistakes as a mirror to be cautious and avoid repeating the same errors in the future. The wise, unbound by the past, understand cause and effect so well that they naturally perceive the coming future without dwelling on past events. Lee Yeongdo - Dragon Raja - Excerpt
