Bought the bakery as a beginner and kinda regret it..

The bakery needs milk from cocoa, so you have to be level 5 in the ingredient storage to use it. It seems pointless for a beginner to build it now. Should I just upgrade the mixing station instead.. I have way too many strawberries.. I might have to cancel the jam and sell the strawberries. They don't make much money though.. Does clearing out the storage mean discarding products?
