I hit Grandmaster with an 80% win rate when it first launched. I collected stars and tried to reach Mythic, but the matchmaking was terrible, so I deleted my account and quit. I tried it again recently because I thought about it after a long time. It's still easy to get to Diamond. A downside of AOS team games is rigged matchmaking. My playstyle is super carry-oriented, so the more I play, the worse my team luck gets. Eventually, 4 out of 5 games would have trolls, reaching a point where I'd get them banned through reports. Usually, that's when you should switch to a squad, but I dislike socializing and prefer playing solo, so my limit was ultimately the top 1%. That's why I end up quitting games like this quickly. Still, it's fun enough that I find myself coming back occasionally. I guess they have to matchmake that way to maintain a 50% win rate. Haha, and I don't quite have the skill to win consistently after that point, so I've reached a level where I just enjoy playing. I should focus on RPGs or strategy games then.
