Equipment and Legendary Part-time jobs are not reset when you re-open or unlock the next city, so you can level them up without worry. For those who usually only complete up to the hidden quest, this won't apply as Legendary Part-time jobs haven't appeared yet. For Essences, if the Board of Directors appears, level it up to 30 first. If not, proceed with research/upgrades. I have personally maxed out 'Trade Essence Acquisition Amount' - 'Production Tool Efficiency' - 'Attack Power' - 'Critical Hit'. If you're only doing up to the hidden quest, focus on 'Production Tool Efficiency' - 'Attack Power'. Also, regarding Fry Production, do not touch the 'Handmade' option. Only unlock up to 'Auto Production', then upgrade the 'Auto Production' twice. As the level of the food stall increases, the number of staff you can assign will increase. With 3, or even up to 4 or 5 staff, you should be able to complete the hidden quest. In the shop, claim Artifacts, Daily Diamonds, and Daily Flames, then proceed with dungeons. Buy equipment with diamonds, upgrade it, then return to part-time jobs, use auto-assign, and send each person to their post one by one. Having one person each for Cooking, Serving, Prep, Checkout, and Cleaning will make you stronger, so it's highly recommended.
