The Aesthetics of Lyrics and Repetition. Kwon Jin-ah - 'Lucky Me'
Personally, I place great importance on lyrics in music. And there's a tool that needs to be used very well in lyrics: repetition. Well, this applies to the song itself, not just the lyrics. Sometimes I want to repeat a line, but how much repetition is just right? Not too much to be tiresome, not too little to be insufficient – there's really no set answer. It varies each time. Kwon Jin-ah's 'Lucky Me' continuously repeats, as the title suggests, "I was lucky." But it's not tiresome. It's like a murmur, as if convincing oneself. Just the right amount of repetition. Just the right amount of variation. When I first heard it, I wondered who wrote and composed it. Upon learning it was Kwon Jin-ah, I thought to myself, 'She's a genius.' Seeing how countless singers perform and love this song, it seems many acknowledge that this song is truly genius. Personally, I feel Kwon Jin-ah didn't gain much from appearing on 'How Do You Play?'. It's not that I look down on variety shows. It doesn't seem like she exploded in popularity, nor did her fanbase significantly grow; she ended up in a sort of limbo.

AuthorIf it's the official artist channel, they should at least provide the lyrics. I was trying to upload the official one, but it didn't have the music video or lyrics, so I ended up linking a popular one with lyrics instead. The company really isn't doing their job.
