Sunday Morning at the Bathhouse

My mom, who lives nearby, always calls early Sunday morning. She asks if I want to go to the bathhouse while the water is still clean. When I go to the bathhouse with my mom, we buy a big coffee sold there, soak in every tub available, and then head to the sauna to sweat it out. Even though we see each other every day, we have so much to talk about that we end up chatting and washing up for 3-4 hours. My mom says she's happy I live close by and can come to the bathhouse with her, And I say I'm happy to be making more memories with her. We bicker sometimes because we see each other so often, but if we don't talk for a day, I find myself wondering about her and worrying. Our relationship feels like that of friends growing old together, even though we're mother and daughter. Today, I'm planning to spend the whole day with my mom preparing for Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving). Hope everyone has a relaxing holiday!
