Gainax's Classic Romantic Comedy... Kare Kano

Introduced in Korea as 'That Man, That Woman's Circumstances' or 'Secret Diary'... a work by Hideaki Anno during Gainax's heyday... Should I call it Eva tailored for the romantic comedy genre...? It's a work where the directing seen in Evangelion stands out in parts.. Perhaps it was my first rom-com anime.. I watched it with great enjoyment.. I think an otaku friend from school recommended it to me.. That was probably the starting point of my anime appreciation.. The protagonists live two lives, one with their outward appearance to others and another hidden at home, with a story that's both fun and dark.. The original manga contains much more, but the anime ruined its ending in the latter half with terrible directing, similar to Evangelion.. If you see directing with too many fingerprints, escape immediately.. It's not worth watching. An anime you should only enjoy up to the fun parts.. Excluding the ending, it's definitely GOAT...
