Today's Delicious Lunch: Chinese Course Meal

Today is the day before the Chuseok holiday, and since we had flexible working hours in the afternoon, I made a reservation at a nearby Chinese restaurant for a course meal. Course Meal Order: Yangjangpi (Jellyfish Salad) > Seafood and Crushed Rice Soup > Palbo Chajang (Eight-Treasure Stir-fry) > Cream Shrimp > Kkanpunggi (Spicy Fried Chicken) > Fish-Flavored Eggplant > Meal (Choose between Jjajangmyeon/Jjamppong) > Dessert (Sikhye) The first dish, 'Yangjangpi', had a mustard sauce that tickled the nose, and the fresh seafood and vegetables really whetted my appetite. The Seafood and Crushed Rice Soup was savory and gently soothed my stomach. The 'Palbo Chajang', which officially kicked off the meal, was slightly spicy with a smoky flavor and packed with plump seafood, making it satisfying to chew. The 'Cream Shrimp' with its sweet and creamy sauce had a wonderfully bouncy texture and was devoured in no time. Following that, the 'Kkanpunggi' was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with a spicy and sour sauce, and the 'Fish-Flavored Eggplant' featured a great combination of crispy fried eggplant filled with juice and a spicy-sweet sauce. For the meal that followed, we could choose between Jjajangmyeon and Jjamppong, so we all ate heartily according to our preferences. Finally, we finished the meal with a sweet and refreshing Sikhye.
