SPY x FAMILY

"SPY x FAMILY" is a captivating work that masterfully blends parenting/slice-of-life comedy with spy action, stemming from its fresh combination of a "spy father + assassin mother + psychic daughter." Anya, the Core of Deadly Cuteness Anya, the only one among the adults hiding their true identities who can read others' minds, is responsible for the show's fun. Her attempts to understand the adults' heavy circumstances on her own, leading to misunderstandings or clumsy attempts to fix things, bring about subtle laughs. Real Family Bonds Forged by the Perfect 'Fake' Family Although they formed a fake family for a mission, the process of them growing to genuinely care for each other as they spend time together is warmly portrayed. The heartwarming aspect of a cold spy and an assassin growing as 'parents' is quite touching. Pacing and Action Quality The anime, a collaboration between WIT Studio and CloverWorks, boasts excellent pacing with crisp action direction and cheerful comedy, making it highly immersive without relying on sensational elements. It's a great work to start without pressure when you want to laugh lightly and heal.
