How Apartment Basement Rainwater Tanks Are Used

Beneath a 58-story mixed-use building in Seoul's Konkuk University area, three rainwater-only tanks are buried. The dilemma of a water tank is that it must be kept empty to prevent floods, but filled to use water. This building found a very simple solution. They divided a 3,000-ton space into three 1,000-ton compartments by building walls. One compartment is kept empty, one is used daily, and one is reserved for emergencies. Thanks to this system, the building reuses 40,000 tons of rainwater annually.

The apartment managed to recycle rainwater on its own.

That's a brilliant design, solving the dilemma with a partition. The engineering solution is impressively efficient, hmm!

So the rainwater tank isn't just for storage, but is divided for different uses ๐Ÿ˜ณ It seems like a pretty efficient method to tackle flood prevention and water recycling at the same time ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
