Forks and Clones? A Hint?

Ever since a while ago, adoptions seem to be dropping new hints about forks and clones with every update. If you go to the event zone, there's a merchant, an agent, and a cat. When you stand in front of them, they say something in English, but I can't quite translate it haha. Seeing as Shane says he's not going anywhere, it seems the guy who used to sell crowns was indeed a clone... When will this fork end? There was also a phrase 'during Halloween,' which makes me wonder if it's related to Halloween as initially speculated? It's quite a mystery.
