Reincarnation... The Grim Reaper's Regret

When Gangrim's apprentice, Dojein, starves to death during a great famine and whines about being hungry, he's taken to the underworld. Gangrim is a grim reaper devoid of tears or humanity. The former owner of the Soul Restaurant sees this and offers to cook for Dojein... Gangrim refuses, but Dojein is about to become a vengeful spirit filled with resentment. The former owner then cooks him some scorched rice, and Dojein calms down. Seeing this, Gangrim regrets his actions... and makes a contract. He saves Dojein, but since there's nowhere to go during the famine, the former owner takes him in and teaches him cooking. Then, the former owner's soul vessel becomes empty and they reincarnate. The King of Hell doesn't mention this, fearing Dojein might be too shocked. After saving Dojein, the soul vessel becomes empty, preventing the Soul Restaurant from continuing. Gangrim then takes charge of the 'hunger' fragment among Dojein's soul fragments. From then on, Gangrim endures without eating a single meal. It seems the contract ends when the former owner is present.... When will I be able to meet the former owner... Will Dojein's soul vessel be full enough to grant a wish.... I'll wait and see.
