I also feel like I get more gems from 200 hearts, and gem boosters seem to drop more often from 500 hearts. Of course, experience points come out the most though.

I mostly got them from the 200 heart chests too. The 500 heart chests are just a bust. It seems like everyone gets better drops from the 200 ones.
