[Info] PUBG Tournament Stream Cheating Incident Escalates into National Issue
Personally, PUBG is one of the games I don't play because it's too difficult... but it seems the current situation is quite serious. I always watch Seonghoe-hyung's YouTube channel for game-related info... I skipped the PUBG content, but then I got targeted by a Vietnamese YouTuber with coordinates and even got doxxed... The incident started when a Vietnamese user in a tournament stream-sniped a Korean streamer's broadcast, which is against the rules... Why are they trying to justify this and criticize Koreans...?? Are they saying that taking shortcuts to justify their own gameplay is a gamer's rightful privilege...? In the same vein, I believe that claiming the right to play pirated games is not a gamer's legitimate right but an abuse, just like enjoying free games while bypassing and blocking ads and sharing them. In the past, maybe it was understandable because copyright wasn't as respected, but now that access is so much better... do they still want to get creators' work for free...? This video reminded me why illegal sites are an abuse.

I also don't really get the idea of treating illegal downloads as a right... From a gamer's perspective, I think creators should be properly compensated so they can keep making great games..ㅠㅠ

The game company should focus on revenue rather than player count, so it was a bit strange they favored Vietnam, where there's no profit to be made. I still don't understand why.
