Water, Ice, and Dry Ice
When you freeze water, it becomes ice. Why doesn't freezing ice turn it into dry ice?

Ice is solidified water, while dry ice is solidified carbon dioxide, so their components are completely different. No matter how cold you make it, the substance itself doesn't change, so it can't become dry ice, hmm!
