Rhythm Game Taboo
Rhythm games are like a battle against yourself. There's a thrill in breaking your own records. However, excessive comparison with others can be detrimental. Keyboard-based rhythm games themselves have individual differences per chart, and those who have more experience and have played longer will inevitably get ahead when starting a new rhythm game together. Moderate comparison can be a driving force, but excessive comparison can lead to a loss of motivation. If you take it step by step from the easier parts, you'll eventually reach a master level, right? For example, if you're playing Arcaea... and your potential is 9. Instead of looking at a Star 10 (12.000~) player far away, it's better to focus on the Level 9 songs right in front of you that you can almost clear. Assuming they have no experience in other games, Star 10 players would have put in months of effort. You should be prepared to put in a similar amount of effort yourself. Enjoy it at your own pace.

Totally agree lol. At first, I was eyeing other people's records, but now I've realized the thrill of winning against myself ๐คฃ๐คฃ Before I knew it, I guess I went from beginner to intermediate/advanced..?
