Story about almost hitting a classmate in 6th grade

In 6th grade, there was a kid who used to bully and tease me a lot. Here's how it all started. On October 25th, we had a class event to debate 'Whose land is Dokdo?' to commemorate Dokdo Day. I was assigned to the Japan side (I was forced into it because I lost rock-paper-scissors), and that kid was on the Korea side. He then copied everything I researched and used it to his advantage in his debate. I was already annoyed about having to argue for Japan's claim, and him copying my work made me even angrier. Because of that, I started calling him a 'scammer' for a while. But he didn't even know why I was calling him a scammer. Being called that nickname triggered him, and he started teasing and bullying me. He'd say dismissive things when I made mistakes in class, pick out hurtful comments during group activities, and act sneakily during games – basically, he did everything he could to be unlikeable. This went on until December, and I got so angry that I almost threw a punch, but other kids stopped me.
