Smash Mouth - All Star (1999)
Two years after this song was released, an animation studio wanted to use it as an opening theme, and it ended up being featured as such. That animation was the first Shrek movie. Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed She was looking kind of dumb With her finger and her thumb In the shape of an "L" on her forehead

The lyrics were so serious, I didn't even realize it was an anime opening.
