It's really tough to force yourself to reach out when you don't feel like it. Isn't it more important for you to feel at ease right now, rather than forcing a reconciliation?

It might be better to reconcile for the future. If you're not going to be strangers forever, it seems best to end things on a good note. I hope it gets resolved well.
