My taxes went up in smoke

There was a fireworks festival in my neighborhood, and they seemed to have prepared a lot more this year than in previous years. The number of drones used for the drone show increased, And last year they used two barges to launch fireworks, but this year they used four. It was pretty, but seeing my tax money slowly melt away in the sky made my stomach hurt. I guess I'm getting old because I find myself thinking it would have been better if that money had been used for welfare or to improve other facilities.... ㅠㅠ
